CREASE MONKEYS WIN CHAMIONSHIP!!!!

CREASE MONKEYS 13 - CHOOSE BRO 4

Congratulations to the Crease Monkey for capping off an undefeated season by winning the CALL Summer League championship on Tuesday 8/2.  The Monkeys completely dominated in a 13 - 4 victory over team Choose Bro, it was the Monkeys first title since 2000.  The victory also ends a 10 year span where the title was won by only 2 teams, either team High Def or the MAC Daddies.  The Monkeys were led by Robbie Wertz, John and Conner DuBois, Luke, Aaron and Jake Weber and Chase Miller on Offense, while Preston Ketchum, David Stock and Matt Hoffman manned the defense in front of goalie Devin O’Grady.  Monkeys Team captain Ted Loughlin is believed to have made history in the game by being the oldest player to score a goal in a summer league championship game, nobody is quite sure how old he is, but he is old.  A special mention goes out to Choose Bro goalie Austin Hayes who made a number of outstanding saves and played a great game but it was not enough to overcome the firepower the Monkeys had on the field. 

Again congrats to the Crease Monkeys on the championship and thanks to all who played in the league this summer. 

The CALL is Central PA’s 18+ summer lacrosse league, with 11 teams from throughout Central PA, the goal is to continue to offer a fun and competitive summer lacrosse league.  Keep checking in to this site as I will add info on any Fall and Winter opportunities as they come up.
